Since 2002, the Women in Technology in Nigeria (WITIN) has relentlessly championed the increased representation of women and girls in the digital ecosystem.

We are deeply committed to fostering gender equality, inclusion, and diversity within and through the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Accelerating the increased representation of women in STEM is  a critical imperative for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as their contributions are essential for driving innovation and sustainable progress across all sectors

  • Enhance Digital Literacy, Inclusion, and Future-Ready Skills
    Promote inclusion and access by providing foundational and advanced technology skills — including AI, Robotics, and Data Science — and lifelong learning opportunities for underserved women and girls.

  • Ensure Equal Representation and Empowerment in STEM and the Digital Society
    Increase the representation, active participation, and empowerment of women and girls in the digital ecosystem and STEM fields to advance equality, inclusion, and diversity.

  • Foster Leadership, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship
    Empower women and girls to lead and innovate in technology through leadership development, mentorship, startup incubation, and structured career pathway programs, while strengthening their capacity for civic and economic participation.

  • Drive Innovation through STEM Education and Competitive Platforms
    Promote creativity and problem-solving through STEM competitions, hackathons, exhibitions, and EdTech innovation programs that encourage practical and applied learning.
