RURAL WOMEN TRAINING & INCLUSION ADVOCACY

We commit to supporting and empowering Women in Rural and underserved communities through advocacy and provision of digital literacy skills. Rural women are mostly breadwinners of the homes and are very critical to food security in Africa. Lack of full participation of women in the digital ecosystem directly translates to economic loss and hence decrease in overall GDP of the country. Nigeria had about 104.4 million internet users in January 2021 with a growth projection of 131.7 million users by 2023 providing enormous opportunities for all.

Contribution of ICT alone to Nigeria GDP in 2021 was about 18% with women obviously not  contributing their full quota, due to the digital gender gap as well as the rural-urban digital divide. Food and nutrition security can be immensely enhanced in Africa when agricultural productivity is fostered with the accelerated inclusion of women farmers in the digital ecosystem. See also womenPride.Africa
