      Martha Omoekpen AladeMartha Omoekpen Alade
      Founder

      Martha Omoekpen Alade is a technologist and an entrepreneur. She has pioneered, for over 14 years, several community driven skills acquisition and capacity building programs in ICT/STEM for teachers, women and girls in Nigeria.

      Mrs Alade has also developed several ICT educational projects in the country.  Her rich experience coupled with her passion to bridge the digital and gender divide led her to form Women in Technology in Nigeria(WITIN), an NGO that provides networking, entrepreneurship and professional development opportunities for women, through technology; inspiring and equipping them to embrace the emerging tech market as inventors and innovators.               

      She earned a BSc in Computer Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University, a Masters in IT from the University of Lagos and was trained in Web 2.0 technologies in Harvard University. Mrs Alade is also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and the Entrepreneurial Development Centre of the Pan Atlantic University.

      Olaperi SowunmiOlaperi Sowunmi
      Projects Coordinator

      A first class graduate of Computer Science from Bells University of Technology with an on-going master’s programme in Computer Science (Software Engineering) at Covenant University. She has been with WITIN for close to four years. Olaperi has a strong passion to see women empowered and longs for a greater representation of technical women in computing. An astute and diligent lady; she has attended different training programmes which includes a Project Management course at JK Michaels, Nigeria. She has successfully managed different leadership positions from pre-school through university. She loves programming and singing.

      Olamide OgungbemiOlamide Ogungbemi
      Programmes Officer

      Olamide holds a First Class Honors in Information Technology from Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun state. As Programmes Officer; She is responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating WITIN programs, conferences, workshops and seminars, and ensures timely completion of programs according to work plan. She also helps with trainings, effectively develops proposals, prepares relevant reports and provides support on research-based projects.

      She is highly motivated, result driven and very passionate about empowering women and girls in STEM, thereby contributing in providing strategic directions for programs in the organization.

      Folashade OyewoleFolashade Oyewole
      Public Relations Officer

      Folashade is responsible for for communication issues and strategies on WITIN projects and program. She is a graduate of Industrial Mathematics from Covenant University, Ota and currently running her masters at the University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom.

      Esther AkoweEsther Akowe
      IT Technical Support Officer

      She is responsible for installing /configuring computer systems, diagnose hardware / software faults, solve technical applications problems, test and evaluate new technology; at Women in Technology in Nigeria.

      Esther Akowe is a graduate in Computer Science.

      Oguntoye olabimpeOguntoye olabimpe
      Research Officer

      As the research officer of women in technology in Nigeria. olabimpe Prepares various reports with descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content that may be submitted for publication.and also Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

      Bimpe holds a B.Sc in Mathematics from the University of Lagos,Nigeria
      She maintains a teachable posture and embraces change for the better.

      Community Outreach Coordinator

      Ms Omofoma is responsible for developing and coordinating WITIN’s community outreach activities, cultivating strategic partnerships through community outreach activities, and recruiting and retaining volunteers for all WITIN community-based programs. She also represents WITIN at internal, external, promotional, or program events based on different communities . She holds a BSc in English Education

      Asst. Community Outreach Coordinator

      Esther assists the Community Outreach Coordinator. She holds a BSc in English Education.
